Workforce Development

Internship Program

We know that leaving school and entering the workforce for the first time can be a frightening experience. Questions about the future can be confusing and difficult for most anyone. For instance:

  • What do I want to do with my career?
  • What if I change my mind about my chosen career?
  • What is it like out in the real world?
  • What is proper professional etiquette?

These are all very common questions. To help navigate through these choices, the Chamber has developed a special Workforce Development/Internship Program. This specialized program is designed to work with our Scholarship Program recipients and student volunteer group, the Chamber Connection. Our interns have the opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience to help with their transition from school to the workplace.

Upon completion of their internship, each participant should have a better exposure and understanding of the skills necessary for them to be successful in their career and enter the workforce full-time with a higher level of comfort and adaptability.

For more information regarding this program or to get involved, please contact the chamber at employment@parsippanychamber.org or call 973-402-6400.

Please note: This is a non-paid internship program.
